So Just what are Gift certificates and how do they relate to MLM Software?


Well, what we call gift certificates are a way to have members sign up other members who don't have a credit card.


What happens is, everyone gets paid to their personal account as described yesterday, they then can issue a gift certificate to a friend or associate for a selected amount of money.


This amount of money may be enough for a signup, and a first order, or a signup and a first order and a few autoships, whatever the members wants to make it for. They simply create the certificate for the amount of money they want to send the prospect, enter in an email address and the certificate is sent to the email address.


The prospect recieves the certificate (after paying the member directly in cash of course) and uses it to sign up with. As he/she signs up to your company, they input the gift certificate number into the appropriate blank, and the new members personal account will have the amount deposited to it.


Then the sign up fee and initial order will be deducted from it leaving whatever is left in the personal account.


Members love it as they don't need to use thier credit card to enroll a friend or someone they don't want knowing their card number. They also can get their money immediately from their prospect.


Companies love it because they can charge a service fee for the certificate and they save the visa discount rate and potential chargeback risk.
