The Use-net or Newsgroups are a whole often not known about portion of the internet. Most web browsers include a News Viewing software to access this place.

This is a place loaded with information on any topic you can imagine. Find a few "Newsgroups" to subscribe to that interest you and make your signature file compelling to get people to look!

Be careful that your input into these newsgroups is for real, or people will see right through your plan to prospect and you will be Flamed by the other members of the group, and Flaming doesn't feel nice!

Flaming is when tons of people all say really really really horrible nasty things about you! Prospecting in the newsgroups blatantly is a definite no no!

Done right with a tasteful signature file and valid input into the group, and it is POWERFUL!

If you are using Internet Explorer to go and learn about and play around in newsgroups go to your menu bar under -> Tools -> Mail and News -> Read News

From there your outlook newsreader will open. The first thing you need to do from here to get started is go to -> Tools -> Newsgroups and this will cause a list of 50 or 60,000 newsgroups to be downloaded. This can take a few minutes if you are not on a high speed connection so be patient.

Once the groups are downloaded, you will have to select some groups that you are interested. The MLM groups are usually so busy that you can't get them but go ahead and give em a try. the best ones are:

biz.mlm

misc.business.marketing

misc.business.moderated

misc.entrepreneurs

Once you have selected your groups that you want to see, click on the goto link at the bottom of the list and you will be taken to the list you wanted to see.

You want to play around and look and read for a while to get the feel of what kind of stuff is appropriate to the group.

The groups above are examples, but you will have more success if you find groups that you are interested in and join into as an active participant sharing ideas. Then the people who identify with your ideas will end up getting some trust for you, and are more likely to read and follow through on your signature file.

this is not a short term process, it takes a while to get going, but is a HUGE source of FREE leads once you get it started. You will also have a lot of fun and learn a lot while doing it!

If you really get into it, you will probably want to get some software that will make it easier to do. Forte's Free Agent is a good software piece for Newsgroups, then eventually you may want to upgrade to the paid version to make your experience more efficient..
