This is the most powerful feature for translation. Click Search to get into this item.
Choose the language you are intending to translate into.
Enter the text string you are looking to translate into the box, or if you know the URL you wish to translate, enter it from the / on to the end of .asp.
Make sure to check the radio button or text or url depending on which one you are planning to do.
Hit submit.
Find the text string you are looking for and hit Edit.
Enter the translation into the box and add comments if you prefer, and hit submit.
You have just translated a text string into your desired language.
Some General Tips
Sometimes it can be hard to distinguish if you have the right place or not. when this happens what I suggest you do is have open the page you are translating or editing the English on and make a minor change and update it. then refresh the page you were on to see if you desired place changed or not.
When you get a page up that has lots of strings of text on it, I suggest you use the Find function of Internet Explorer to help you zero in on the word/words you are looking for.
If you are doing this while actually translating, you will need to approve your translation before you can check it. We only turn this feature on if requested, otherwise translations should be auto approved. if something isn't showing up no matter what you do, check the approve section to see if it is there or not.
